May 2007 Meeting Minutes

May 16, 07 by Iroquois County Amateur Radio Club

Clay N9IO spoke to the group about Fox Hunting as our special program. Clay demonstrated a couple of homemade quads and some homemade attenuators and a handheld device that included a small receiver. Clay said that these antennas were receive only so do not worry about correct spacing or high VSWR. Keep your antenna moving and swinging to find the best of the sharpest peaks. Use attenuators to cut down on signal after you get close to the tx. Clay suggested joint Fox hunts by the KKK and Iroquois clubs later in the summer or fall.
