Minutes for Month of August 10, 2006
President Steve Called Meeting to Order at 7:15pm at the Red Cross office in Watseka.
Old Business
The minutes of the July meeting were approved.
The treasure’s report was read and approved.
New Business
Carl K9CS reported that he had a nice face to face meeting with Phil and Bill Wilson from the NWS and that they were glad to have reports from our Skywarn group on bad weather.
NWS in Romeiville is going to have a tour and a special event station on December 2, 2006. All hams are invited.
Cingular project is still under way and has some more paper work to be done. Benny is working on it.
WGFA project has been slow—we hope to see Howard at hamfest to see if it can be worked on.
Tim wanted to trade the GMRS site with the 444.625 site to improve 440 coverage in Watseka. Perhaps that will be done in the coming week.
Mike and Roy are going to sign up for the ARRL Emcomm class in the next few days. If any one finishes a class please sent copy to Red Cross and ESDA.
Benny provided us with some nice snacks and Steve dismissed us about 9:00 pm.
