First ICARC Meeting in a long Time
August 16, 04 by Iroquois County Amateur Radio ClubDear Radio Users
Try to save Wed Sept 1 at about 7:00PM for a informal get together at the Red Cross office in Watseka. Plan to show off the radio communications corner and see if we can make some plans to kick start the club again. Bring ideas for meetings and see if any interest in emergency communications. If you know of any hams to bring as guests that would be great also.
I am not sure that we should bring in “any off the street people” to this meeting in that they might be bored if no experience in radio???? On the other hand if they are “hot” to get started maybe they would enjoy the company???
If you have any thing for show and tell–bring them along…
Any ideas that anyone has to offer before meeting could be added to this message and passed back to each one. Also easy to get to all of us on the “new” 03 machine. Coverage looks like about 20-25 miles to me. Several of us have had a great time checking the range and a one of us had an exciting time putting up the antenna on the 260 foot mark.
We have been talking about 500 feet of 7/8 inch hard line–only thing stopping us is $1,000 or more for feed line. Jerry has antenna and a 500 foot stick to put it on!!!!!
How about collecting Dues?
